Representative to the Heed Ophthalmic Foundation

The autonomous governing board of the Heed Ophthalmic Foundation is composed of five directors with the requirement that two of the directors be members of the American Ophthalmological Society (AOS). Upon recommendation of the Heed Ophthalmic Foundation Board of Directors to the AOS, one member of the Heed Ophthalmic Foundation Board of Directors may be designated the AOS representative. The member must be in active, good standing with the AOS.

Duty of the Representative to the Heed Ophthalmic Foundation:

The representative of the AOS to the Heed Ophthalmic Foundation will attend its Board of Directors’ meetings and will participate in all related Heed Ophthalmic Foundation programs and activities.

Required Reports:

The representative is required to send a written report of the Heed Ophthalmic Foundation activities. This report is sent in time so as to be incorporated in the Annual Reports of the AOS (i.e. report due May of each year).
